Welcome to our little space on the web!
I'm so excited for you to get to "meet" my little family!
My name is Deanne and I am 25 years old. I was born in Lubbock, Tx and spent the first few years of my life moving from place to place. One of those places happens to be Guam, but I was only two years old and can't remember a single bit of it. I've spent the better majority of my life in small town Louisiana and it's a place I'm proud to call home.
We moved around a lot as I was a child, too. I went to one school for Kindergarten, a different school for First Grade, and then finally settled into my hometown school from Second Grade on.
I moved in with my then boyfriend the night of my high school graduation on May 10, 2009. He lived an hour away from our hometown and I was scared to death to be that far away from my mom. But, I was dead set on starting my life with him and it still remains as one of the best decisions I've ever made.
I went to school for Elementary Education and worked part time until December 2010. That was a huge month for us; we got engaged and moved to a new home three hours away in Texas. It was a huge step for us, but we were excited for the new job opportunity Adam was taking. Huntington has been the place we call home for a little over FIVE years now! Time flies when you're having fun (and babies!) ;)
I continued to work part time and began planning the details of our wedding. We got married on December 3, 2011 and was most definitely one of the best days of my life.
I was still working and figuring out the newly wed life when we found out I was pregnant in July 2012. I have never been more excited and scared at the same time in my entire life. I started classes again in the fall, but I changed my degree to Nursing. I quit my job so that I could focus on school, and I'm so glad I did because the pregnancy was taking away all of my brain cells.
I was due to deliver our oldest on March 14, 2013, so I decided that going to school probably wasn't the best decision for the spring semester. My due date came faster than expected and I delivered Aiden on March 1, 2013. Our second baby came on August 15, 2014 and he is our little blessing! His birth was rather traumatic, but we all came out ahead and we are so very thankful for him! The days since have been spent picking up toys, cleaning and laundry, and sleeping whenever I get the chance. My husband and I have decided that me being a stay-at-home mom works best for us and I'm so blessed to be able to raise my sweet boys and have this opportunity. These years are short! I'm not sure when I will go back to school to finish my degree, but right now being a mom is my job and I love every single minute of it!
Some of my hobbies include couponing, working out, shopping, this blog, any time I get to spend time with my long-distance family, and reading a good book with a glass of wine (mostly the glass of wine.) I'm a really simple person and pretty easy to please. I love meeting new people and learning new things. We have a Russian Tortoise, aka Mr. Turtle, and an eight year old Yorkie named Gucci! My creativity and imagination are almost always lacking, but I try to find inspiration wherever I go. I'm deathly afraid of needles and have a phobia of spiders. I love anything pink and if you bring me chocolate, I will be your best friend forever. I get distracted easily, but some things tend to take my undivided attention. I hate coffee unless it's a Frappuccino from Starbucks and I can't stand the taste of seafood. I would spend every day at the beach if I could, and my skin would probably look like leather so I'm glad I can't. I really want two more kids, even though my husband rolls his eyes every time I mention this. I tend to have a potty mouth when I get overly excited or whenever someone seriously pisses me off. Most of my days are spent in my pajamas and my sink is almost always full of dishes. By the looks of this, I guess you could call me a Hot Mess Mama! I look forward to sharing our life with you and getting to know you! Welcome, new friend!
